Something new! We hope you’ll come…Trinity Firepit Evenings
We invite you to join others from Trinity in evenings of fellowship around a backyard firepit during the month of October. We have hosts ready the first four weekends in October (often Friday and Saturday) and we hope you’ll come for some outside socializing in the crisp air!
How does it work?
Click this link to get to our familiar RSVP system for Sunday church services. We’ve set up separate dates/times for each available Firepit Evening, by suburb and start time. We hope you’ll enter into the fun of not knowing your host until right before your date – we want folks to mix up and meet some new people, but not have to drive too far to do it. So you’ll see the suburb on the RSVP, but not the host. You WILL get that info before your firepit date.
Some things to note:
A few locations are adults only due to space, but most are good for teens and kids! You’ll see those details and the total number that each place can accommodate, just as you do for Sunday worship sign up. Please sign up the full number coming with you. There might be some wiggle room on the numbers, so if you are short by one or two spots for your family, please contact me and we’ll work it out!
This outside event is “mask optional” since social distancing can be easily observed (even while you stay warm around the fire!) unless you have younger children who will forget, in which case you should come with masks for them should they be necessary. Please monitor this for the safety of all.
This is not a “meal event” but please feel free to bring your own beverage of choice. And bring a chair!
RSVPs for each date will close at noon on the Thursday before, so there’s time to send a guest list to our hosts and send location details to guests.
Our hosts and dates are plentiful, so feel free to sign up for more than one! We have a few other hosts “standing in the wings” ready to light up their firepit should the need for more space arise later in the month.
Can we bring friends?
Yes, we hope you will! But don’t forget to sign them up using their email address.
What if it rains?
Your host will make a last minute call if the weather is not great. Watch your email the night before or the day of for any last minute changes. Unfortunately, any cancelled dates won’t be rescheduled but you might be able to shift to another date, your schedule and space depending.
What if I have to cancel an RSVP? Or if I have other questions?
