Ethan Brown has been called to plant a new Reformed University Fellowship chapter at the University of Illinois.
Ethan was born and raised in Hollywood, Florida (just outside of Miami). He was adopted into a Christian family as an infant and cannot remember a day when he did not know Jesus as his Savior and King. Ethan attended the University of Florida, where he met his wife Amanda. God used RUF at UF to grow Ethan and Amanda in their knowledge of the love of Christ and to give them a heart for campus ministry. After graduating and getting married, Ethan and Amanda moved to Durham, NC, where Ethan worked for RUF at Duke for two years. After serving with RUF at Duke, God brought Ethan and Amanda to Charlotte, NC, where Ethan studied to prepare for pastoral ministry at Reformed Theological Seminary. Ethan and Amanda accepted the call to plant RUF at the University of Illinois in 2021 and are excited to get to live life alongside students and to be used by God to reach students for Christ and equip them to serve. Their son, Judah, was born in January 2019, and they are expecting a baby girl soon. In his free time, Ethan loves to drink craft coffee, watch Netflix, read good books, and play just about any sport with a round ball. Over the next few months, he will welcome a daughter, graduate from seminary, study for and take his ordination exams, move, receive training, raise support, and meet students and campus staff.
Ethan will begin his ministry on June 1.
